Get Zoom-Ready!

We record in landscape (horizontal) format. 

If your screen won't rotate, do the following before joining Zoom: 

• Swipe down from the top-right corner (or swipe up on older models).
• Look for the 🔒 lock inside a circular arrow.
• Tap to turn it off.
   

• Swipe down from the top of the screen. 
• Turn on Auto Rotate (often shown as 📱↻). 
• On older phones: Go to Settings > Display > Auto-Rotate, then toggle it ON.
   

📌 Zoom may not rotate your video once you're already in the call — rotate first.

Please use your real background.

• Open Zoom > Click your profile picture > Settings > Background & Effects. 
• Under Virtual Backgrounds, select None. 
• Under Video Filters, also select None. 
• If “Blur” is selected, click None instead.
   

• Join the Zoom meeting. 
• Tap the screen, then tap More (•••) > Background & Effects. 
• Select None for both Backgrounds and Filters

Zoom often blocks expressive sounds like laughter, singing, or excitement. We want to hear every bit of it.  Follow the steps below to ensure clear, full audio.

• Open the Zoom app.
• Go to Settings (⚙️ icon) > Audio:
   
• Uncheck ✅ “Automatically adjust microphone volume”
• Set Suppress Background Noise to Low
   
• Click Advanced (bottom right):
  ✅ Enable “Show in-meeting option to enable Original Sound”
• ✅ Enable “High fidelity music mode”
• (Optional) ✅ “Stereo audio”
   
• In the meeting, click “Turn On Original Sound” at the top left.
   

• Open the Zoom app.
• Tap Settings > Meetings.
• Turn ON ✅ “Use Original Sound”
• In the call, tap “Enable Original Sound” at the top of the screen.
   

• Open the Zoom app and join the meeting.
• Tap “Enable Original Sound” at the top (if available).
   

🛑 If you’re using Zoom in a web browser, these audio settings aren’t available. For best sound, please use the app.

 Some Apple devices automatically follow your movements. 

• While in Zoom, click the Control Center (top-right corner menu bar). 
• Click Video Effects. 
• Toggle Center Stage OFF.
   

• Go to Settings > FaceTime (or Camera, depending on device). 
• Toggle Center Stage OFF.
   

• On your Mac, go to Control Center > Video Effects. 
• Toggle Center Stage OFF.

The browser version of Zoom limits audio and video quality. For best results, please use the free app:
